If you are flying long-haul this year, your next international trip is about to feel a little cozier. Air Canada is rolling out a new collection of bedding and amenity kits across all cabins on international routes, and the whole lineup leans hard into Canadian partnerships.
The collection begins rolling out on international flights in August, appearing gradually as aircraft are fitted with the new products, so you may not see everything on your first flight. Here is what is coming.

Economy and Premium Economy travellers are getting a new six-foot blanket made from polar fleece, sized to cover you from your shoulders to your feet no matter how tall you are. Premium Economy passengers also receive an upgraded amenity kit with a contoured neoprene eye mask, 3M earplugs rated to block up to 32 decibels, knitted cabin socks, and a bamboo toothbrush with Colgate toothpaste.

Up in Signature Class, the bedding gets a bigger upgrade. There is a new 145 gsm duvet (grams per square meter) built for extra softness and warmth, plus a redesigned pillow with an AirFlow fill meant to breathe better and hold its shape. The Signature Class amenity kit adds a light, adjustable eye mask, the same 3M earplugs, striped cotton-blend cabin socks, and a bamboo toothbrush with toothpaste and floss, all packed in a recycled cotton drawstring bag you are meant to reuse long after you land.

Here is where it gets fun for us. Air Canada developed the reusable kits with Hunter Amenities, a Canadian hospitality supplier that manufactures the products at its facility in Burlington, Ontario. The Signature Class kits also feature skincare from Sahajan, an award-winning, female-founded Canadian brand. You will find their Lip Karma lip balm and The Hand Remedy hand cream inside, both designed to fight the dry cabin air that tends to leave your skin and lips parched on a long flight.

Amenity kits are not the reason anyone books a flight, but the details here are a nice touch. We always like seeing Air Canada put Canadian brands front and centre, and a reusable kit you can keep using at home beats another single-use pouch destined for a junk drawer. If you have flown Signature Class before, the 3M earplugs and a proper eye mask are the items most worth hanging onto.
