Rove Now Transfers to Aeroplan: What Canadian Travellers Need to Know

Rove Now Transfers to Aeroplan

If you've been building up Rove Miles, today is a big day!

Aeroplan has officially joined Rove's transfer partner lineup, and for Canadian travellers, this is one of the most meaningful additions the program has made to date. You can now move your Rove Miles to Aeroplan Points at a 1:1 ratio, giving you a direct path to one of the most flexible and widely used loyalty programs in the world.

And to celebrate, Rove is offering a limited-time 25% transfer bonus.

If you don't have a Rove account yet and you sign up using the link above, it includes my referral code which will give you 500 bonus miles on sign-up.

What Are Rove Miles?

Rove Miles is a free, transferable rewards currency that gives you access to airline and hotel loyalty programs that have historically been difficult to earn into without an American credit card. You accumulate miles by booking hotels and flights through the Rove platform, shopping online through their browser extension or portal, and referring friends.

One of the standout features is the ability to triple-dip on rewards: you earn Rove Miles, points from your credit card, and points from your airline or hotel loyalty program all at the same time. Miles never expire, and all you need to sign up is a phone number with a +1 country code.

To mark the occasion, Rove is running a limited-time 25% transfer bonus through 11:59 p.m. EST on June 6, 2026.

That means every 1,000 Rove Miles becomes 1,250 Aeroplan Points during the promo window. If you've been sitting on a Rove balance, now is a great time to put it to work.

Why Aeroplan?

Why Aeroplan

As Canadians, we already know how valuable Aeroplan is, but it's worth a reminder that the program gives you access not only to Air Canada but also to its full Star Alliance network, which spans over 40 airlines and hundreds of destinations worldwide. Beyond the sheer reach, there are a few Aeroplan features that are especially worth knowing about:

  • Add a stopover to a one-way award flight for just 5,000 Aeroplan Points, letting you explore an extra destination without a significant points penalty.
  • Add a lap infant to an award ticket for just 2,500 points, which is genuinely rare in the points world.
  • Redeem across Star Alliance partners for strong international award pricing, including some excellent business class options.

They're features that can meaningfully stretch the value of your points when used strategically.

Where Aeroplan Fits in the Rove Ecosystem

Rove already had a strong transfer partner list, including programs like Japan Airlines, Virgin Atlantic, and Qatar Airways, programs that have historically been difficult for Canadians to earn into without a US-issued credit card. Adding Aeroplan brings a program that most Canadian travellers already know and use, making Rove even easier to incorporate into an existing points strategy.

If you hold Aeroplan Points through Air Canada travel or other means, Rove now gives you another avenue to top up that balance, especially useful ahead of an upcoming redemption.
